The V Love Foundation

The V Love Foundation was created in honor of two amazing women who greatly influenced my life and inspired me to make a positive impact in the world.  The first influential person who inspired the formation of The V Love Foundation is Valena Marshall. Valena Marshall was my great aunt whom I affectionally called "teedy", She was  originally from Chicago, IL but settled in a small town of Osyka Ms. This is where my aunt would teach me life lessons on love, kindness, and generosity and the power of forgiveness. As a member of the Eastern Seals, The Southern Baptist Chruch and a devoted missionary, she taught me to let love lead the way, always put God before everything and treat everyone with great kindness. Because of her teachings I am passionate about empowering individuals to become the best versions of themselves, and The V Love Foundation serves as a channel to achieve this. Our mission is to provide opportunities for people to grow and contribute towards a brighter, more inclusive world. We believe that small acts of kindness can create a ripple effect, and we aspire to be a catalyst for this change. The second most important person who inspired The V Love Foundation is Victoria "Kizzy Augustine. Kizzy was my childhood  best friend who lost here battle with the devastating disease HIV/AIDS in 1997 at the age of 22 . Although her life was cut short her impact has been everlasting. Growing up in the lower ninth ward of New Orleans, La was challenging but for Kizzy it was filled with domestic abuse, and nights where she didn't know where she would sleep or get her next meal from, in spite of the mountain of challenges faced she never gave up, and in 1996 one year before her death she graduated high school. Kizzy taught me the importance of resilience, perseverance and regardless of life's adversities never give up!

A Letter To My Forever Friend Victoria "Kizzy" Augustine

Thank you for being you

Thank you for teaching me so much about love and friendship. You were my sister, valent heroine and a true example of strength. I love you with my whole heart unconditionally. The pain of watching you suffer in your last days of life where heart wrenching but your courage , and tenderness toward me as you spoke these words that would last a life time "The worst feeling is leaving this world and feeling like you haven't accomplished nothing ".  sparked a fire within me to make sure your legacy would never die. AIDS robbed you of life at a young age but I promise through me your memory will live on. Your story will be told. Friend it may have felt that you had not accomplished much in your 22 years on this earth, but that couldn't be further from the truth.  Your life and death is not in vain. You impacted my life in such a remarkable way. The V Love Foundation exist because of you. In 1996 when you found out that you were HIV positive it was known as a badge of shame people judged you and did not know you, the entire neighborhood were saying terrible things on your name.  I promised you that I would change the way people remember you. It is happening friend. I started Victoria's Boutique to counteract all the things that you used to worry about and everything is FREE! I know your in heaven looking down with a smile on your face and joy in your heart.  Kizzy I am so sorry it took me so long to find the courage to overcome my many fears but with your memory in my heart and your words in my memory I DID It !

Love Your Forever Friend
